“La visión de la sirena” by Roldán Pinedo

This work represents the vision of ayahuasca and symbolizes the ceremony of two traditional medicine healers singing the whistle of the mermaid. The piece illustrates how mermaids bring to master healers the medicinal plants that contain the most power so that they can heal the sick through their íkaros (magic and sacred songs). The scene is surrounded by butterflies, birds and plants that according to tradition are the carriers of energy to medicine.
