Enrique Polanco was born in Lima, Peru, attended the National School of Fine Arts in 1975 and in 1983 began his postgraduate studies with a scholarship at the prestigious Central Institute of Fine Arts in Beijing, China. Polanco is an expressionist urban painter, his work has a high anthropological content where color and social and marginal themes are important protagonists. Migration processes feed the artist’s pictorial vision and his gaze is not alien to the political moments we live. His works are exhibited in museums and private collections in Peru and the world. He currently lives and works in Lima, Peru.
